Attending CMX Summit 2019

Attending a summit is always an exciting opportunity, but when you get a scholarship for it, the excitement level reaches its peak. That's exactly what happened to me when I got selected to attend the CMX Summit 2019 with a scholarship. It was a dream come true for me, and I was eager to make the most out of it.

The CMX Summit is a premier event for community professionals and leaders. It offers a unique platform to connect with like-minded people and learn from the experts in the industry. Being a community manager, attending this summit was like a pilgrimage for me, and I was determined to make the most of it.

The scholarship covered my flight tickets and the summit registration fee, but I had to take care of my accommodation and other expenses for which I did an crowdfunding campaign. I planned my trip in a way that I could experience the local culture and explore the city as much as possible.

I landed in San Francisco a day before the summit started, and I decided to travel by local buses and trains to save some money. The local transport system was efficient, and I had no trouble navigating through the city. It was a great opportunity to observe the local life and interact with people from different backgrounds.

One of the highlights of my trip was visiting Noisebridge, an anarchistic maker, and hackerspace located in San Francisco. It was a unique experience, and I got to see some of the most innovative and creative projects being developed by the members. I also got a chance to interact with some of the members, and they shared their stories of how they got into hacking and making.

Attending the CMX Summit was an enriching experience, and I got to learn from some of the most prominent experts in the community management field. I also got to connect with community professionals from around the world and exchange ideas and best practices.

Travelling alone can be intimidating, but it was a liberating experience for me. It allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and explore the world on my terms. I was able to discover new things about myself and gained a new perspective on life.

In conclusion, getting selected to attend the CMX Summit 2019 with a scholarship was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. It allowed me to learn from the best, connect with like-minded people, and explore the city on my terms. Travelling alone was a liberating experience, and I would encourage everyone to try it at least once in their lifetime.
