Menstrual Cups: 5 Years of Comfort and Freedom!

For most of my life, I've hardly used sanitary pads. Instead, I went with cloth. Now, when I say "cloth," some people get all squirmish, thinking about the mess and the work. But to me, it was better to deal with my own blood than add to the mess of discarded pads. You know what I mean?
But here's the thing – when I had to travel for a few days, using cloth wasn't practical. So, reluctantly, I used pads. And ugh, I didn't like it at all! No matter how much I took care of myself, I'd get rashes. Pads were not my thing.
Fast forward to 2017, I heard about menstrual cups at a gathering of women. Back then, nobody I knew had even heard of them, let alone tried them. I was curious, so I did some research and got one for myself in 2018. And wow, it was like heaven from the get-go.
With a menstrual cup, I could do anything without worrying about leaks. I could jump, run, sleep in any position – you name it. Traveling became a breeze because I didn't have to keep changing pads or deal with cloth.
It's been five fantastic years since then, and I'm thrilled to say that I've convinced a bunch of my friends to switch to menstrual cups, and they love it too. That feels like a big win for me!
And guess what? It's not just us. I've noticed that more and more people are talking about menstrual cups, and there are government and non-government efforts to make them more accessible. That's awesome because it's making things better for everyone.
I'm looking forward to many more years of period peace and spreading the word about this fantastic option. 😊
