it's 2022, and I started as the center head of the Kakkanad branch. Little did I know that this adventure would turn into something magical, involving caterpillars, butterflies, and loads of learning.
The Caterpillarz Experience: First things first, let me tell you about Caterpillarz Preschool and Academy. It's not just a school; it's a place where kiddos begin their life journey as caterpillars and end up transforming into beautiful, brave butterflies. Our fearless leader, Ms. Lincy, is the brain behind this wonderland. We believe in being child-centric, nurturing those tiny talents in the most natural way possible. But, hey, not every parent gets our vibe, trust me on that!
From Center Head to Superwoman: My initial gig was as the center head, but man, did that title come with a million other roles! I became a teacher, a friend, and sometimes even a nanny to these adorable little caterpillars. It was during these crazy days that I had this adorable realization: I want to be a mom someday and watch my own kiddo grow. The more I understood each child, the more I craved learning about child psychology. And that's a big deal, considering I'm not married or planning to be anytime soon. Life's full of surprises, right?
Joining the Curriculum Development Team: So, with my somewhat decent technical skills, Ms. Lincy roped me into the curriculum development team. At first, it was just about digitalizing stuff, but I quickly became a contributor. And let me tell you, it was a total blast! I got to create worksheets that were perfect for kids' age groups. The highlight? Completing our first PREK textbook – a proud moment, for sure!
Becoming a Canva Pro: During my journey at Caterpillarz, I became a Canva whiz! Seriously, I can design stuff like a pro now. I used my newfound skills to create eight workbooks for kids, ranging from PREK to Grade 1. This wasn't just about design; it was also about understanding how to teach and what to teach kids at different stages of their growth. Learning never stops, right?
Personal Growth Galore: But the learning didn't stop there. I'm currently knee-deep in a Teacher Empowerment program at "The Learner," all thanks to our academic director, Kausthuba. And Ms. Lincy? Well, she's my mentor in special education now. It's been a heck of an exciting journey, combining work and learning, and I can't wait to see what's next!
In a Nutshell: Caterpillarz Preschool and Academy have changed my life in ways I never imagined. From being a center head to diving into curriculum development and creating workbooks, it's been a rollercoaster ride of education and child development. I've grown, both personally and professionally, and I'm thankful for being a part of the journey of these wonderful little butterflies.
As I continue on this adventure of learning and teaching, I'm pumped to see what the future holds – for Caterpillarz and for my own motherhood journey, whenever that may be.
